Born and raised in Oklahoma, Stephanie Snow Byrd learned early how powerfully fear and silence can shape a person’s life. Her experiences eventually inspired her to examine the survival patterns she carried into adulthood and to write honestly about the difficult process of changing them.

Stephanie graduated from Career Point Business School in Tulsa and established a professional background in customer service and hospitality. She is also the mother of five grown children.

Away from work and writing, Stephanie feels most connected to herself while camping, fishing, hiking, or simply spending time in nature. Open skies, moving water, and quiet landscapes provide room for faith, reflection, and emotional restoration.

Through Out of Their Dark Into My Light, Stephanie shares both her suffering and her accountability. Her work reminds readers that courage is not the absence of fear. It is the decision to move forward, tell the truth, accept help, and continue choosing healing even when the path ahead remains uncertain.
